Installation

Instruction applies to

FHD-100BXP-100/202/300/301/320/321TD-1050/1060

Pre-installed

If you have a pre-installed Qbic then Smartsign Config should launch automatically.
If it does not you can access it by choosing “Settings” at the bottom right and then Smartsign Config.
Select “Server Address” and input your server address (**hostname only, **see manual installation for examples).

Please note that the “Content:” setting on the dashboard should be left unchanged.

Portrait mode

If you are using a screen installed in portrait you must change the HDMI output of the player to match.

On the device:

  1. Select Settings → (Display) → HDMI → Screen Orientation OR System Direction
  2. Select the correct rotation for your screen 0, 90, 180 or 270 degrees

To access the Android launcher/user interface:

  1. Connect a USB mouse and/or keyboard.
  2. Select settings.
  3. Select “About device”.
  4. Click “Model number” 7 times.
  1. Important! Make sure to set correct date and time in the device.
  2. Download the Smartsign Android Player
  3. Place the APK file on a USB Flash drive
  4. Plug the USB Flash drive into the player
  5. Open “ApkInstaller” and browse to “USB Memory”
  6. Select the downloaded APK file
  7. Choose to install the application (please see security settings above if it refuses)
  8. Config should now launch automatically
  9. Select Server Address and input your server, then click OK (hostname only)
    • EU Cloud service: eu.smartsigncloud.com
    • AU Cloud service: au.smartsigncloud.com
    • On-premises: Use the hostname or IP that your server is configured with
  10. Adjust other settings to your liking
  11. Exit
  12. Smartsign Player will launch automatically and connect to the configured server

Security settings

When installing apps from USB-storage or similar you may need to adjust security settings to allow installation from other sources.

  1. Open Settings and find the Security settings
  2. Find and enable the setting to allow installing apps from unknown sources
